The goal of the project is to develop a methodology and mobile acquisition application to establish user situation awareness in smart systems. Knowing, understanding, and utilizing user situation is a core part of any user adaptation towards effective support in real environment.
Our approach is based on the sampling experience method. It involves the design and implementation of a situation dependent experience sampling mobile application. The application is designed to acquire responses of real users in real situations based on sensor data and Internet of things.
We have developed a mobile application for the development of context models and for the development of machine learning automatic context detection based on mobile device sensors. Its privacy policy is available here.
