Workshop is organized with SETE 2016 – 1st International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education (link)

in conjunction with ICWL 2016 – 15th International Conference on Web-based Learning (link)

Notification of acceptance – July 29th

Camera ready and related full registration – August 20th

The session will examine recent developments and trends in student centered learning and potentials of web-based learning environments. The session will enhance the discussion on various learning environments, technological solutions and tools. Special attention will be devoted to ICT assisted teaching and learning practices within pre-school, primary, secondary, tertiary level, lifelong learning including career development, and work-place learning.

Authors are invited to present papers within the following topics of interest:

  • New teaching and learning approaches
  • Web-based learning environments connecting formal and informal learning
  • Accessibility, participation and inclusion
  • Learning analytics and data informed pedagogical design
  • User centered design, design based research for student centered web-based learning
  • Mobile technologies in learning
  • Game based learning and social media
  • Ergonomics
  • Innovative learning environments
  • User interaction and experience

Contributions are not limited to the topics listed above. Contributions that could inform design, implementation, evaluation and quality assurance of web-based learning environments facilitating learner centeredness are welcome. The aim of this workshop is to investigate powerful ways to explore the delivery of education and training when implementing new approaches in web-based learning from institutions and end-users point of views.
